New Starbeamer Pattern: Kangaroo

June 6, 2017

I have been working with some wonderful people from Australia and so I wanted to make something for them. Because of that, I was inspired to make a kangaroo. After a few tries, I was able to put cute angles on the tail and feet that make him sit nicely.

New Stabeamer Pattern: Butterflyfish

May 23, 2017

Butterflyfish come in all sorts of colors and I wanted to make a pattern that gave the option for some of my favorites, striped and pyramid butterflyfish.

With only three separate pieces, this fish works up quickly.

New Starbeamer Pattern: Dinosaur

May 9, 2017

Dragons and dinosaurs are some of my favorite creatures and I decided to revise my original pattern in order to make it more simple and more in line with the design of the mini dragon pictures.

Gift: Crochet Slouchy Hat

April 7, 2015

My sister-in-law has been asking me for a hat for a while, but it was one of the things I had not tried to make and I was worried about fit. She has a larger head than I do, so I could not use myself to size it. After a long time, she chose this pattern.  I looked around for a long time for the right yarn. I knew I wanted cotton and she said she wanted mustard yellow. I got the closest I could and started in on the pattern.

The first part of the pattern built up very quickly. The only part of the pattern I was a bit unsure about was the row joins. The clusters do take a while, but that is to be expected. It came out beautifully and she was thrilled.

New Starbeamer Pattern: Bear/Panda

February 24, 2015

I wanted a little bear that was simple to make and matched my miniature set of animals. After I had made the first bear, I also added the instructions for the panda. They both came out exactly as I imagined.

New Starbeamer Pattern: Mini Cow

October 3, 2014

Growing up, I would watch what I called ‘oreo cows’ from my car’s windows. Most of the cow patterns out there are for the Holstein variety, so I decided to make one pattern that encompasses the Jersey, Dutch Belted and Angus varieties of cows.
