Dragons and dinosaurs are some of my favorite creatures and I decided to revise my original pattern in order to make it more simple and more in line with the design of the mini dragon pictures.

New Starbeamer Pattern: Mini Hydra/Dragon/Dino Amigurumi/Plush Toy

March 31, 2014

I love mythological creatures and I wanted to do a more basic hydra pattern so I made the mini hydra. I thoroughly enjoyed making him and his little dragon buddy. He makes a perfect companion for a small child. I worked it up in as few pieces as possible, so if you make a 3 headed hydra, there are only 11 pieces.

Finished Craft: Miniature Dragon

October 18, 2013

My father-in-law loves dragons, King Arthur and anything medieval, so I decided to make him a dragon ornament. I scoured the internet and found this one that I liked. I then bought some #10 crochet string and made a miniature version of it. I added horns to go behind his ears. I had to work on it in short bursts because I would go cross eyed after a while staring that intently at the small stitches. I think it came out wonderfully. He loved it, but I think I’ll stay away from thread that small again.
