New Starbeamer Pattern: Mini Hydra/Dragon/Dino Amigurumi/Plush Toy

March 31, 2014

I love mythological creatures and I wanted to do a more basic hydra pattern so I made the mini hydra. I thoroughly enjoyed making him and his little dragon buddy. He makes a perfect companion for a small child. I worked it up in as few pieces as possible, so if you make a 3 headed hydra, there are only 11 pieces.

New Starbeamer Pattern: Miniature Okapi

February 7, 2014

Okapis have been one of my favorite animals since I was little, so I decided to make one and while I was at it, create a pattern to put up.  I put up a large okapi pattern and then saw that some people may want a simpler pattern, so I created the miniature okapi pattern and put it up.

New Starbeamer Pattern: Mini Horse and Zebra

November 25, 2013

These cute zebra and horses are simple to make and quick to work up. They fit well in the palm of the hand and are a great addition to any child’s animal collection. I was only going to make the Zebra one at first, but the pattern was easily convertible into a horse pattern as well.

I left the horse’s mane longer and affectionately call him the ‘Fabio’ horse because I think his mane looks like Fabio’s hair, and I think it’s funny.

New Starbeamer Pattern: Okapi

October 12, 2013

Okapis have been one of my favorite animals since I was little, so I decided to make one and while I was at it, create a pattern to put up.  It took me longer than I thought it would to work on the pattern and with images, charts and explanations, it is by far the longest pattern I have worked on, and I had a few pieces I had to redo to make the look perfect, but it is finally finished. Most of the pattern is made from crochet with only the horns and tail using knit, but I have a link to a video on how to crochet an I cord included on the pattern if you would like to use crochet only.
